Chris Farthing
(England)
Born: 1969
Chris started playing croquet as an undergraduate at Oxford University, and won the British Student Championship twice in the 1990's. He has represented England in the Home Internationals twice, and also competes for his home club, Surbiton, and his birth county, Suffolk. He is a regular winner of tournaments in both Association, one-ball, and Golf Croquet, in singles and doubles, handicap and level, and his major success has been winning the British Open Doubles championship, with Chris Patmore, in 1999.
Despite being a regular on the UK tournament circuit for 15 years, Palm Beach 2009 will be the first time Chris has taken his mallet overseas, and he looks forward to celebrating a significant birthday during the tournament.
Outside of croquet, Chris works in neuroscience drug discovery and enjoys darts, real ale, and London nightlife.
