Charlie started 9 wicket croquet whilst studying at St. John's College, Annapolis, Maryland, USA and in 2008 began playing USCA and Association Rules too. Whilst there he was a member of the winning team in the Collegiate National Championship.

With a Batchelor of Arts degree, Charlie works as a coach at the National Croquet Center, West Palm Beach, Florida, USA.
