Colin Irwin, has played croquet since 1979 and was a member of the first Irish team formed for the Home Internationals in 1983.

First selected for GB MacRobertson Shield team in 1986 he has played in a total of four series, possibly being selected for his skills at the barbeque rather than croquet. His best ever World Ranking was 4.

A former Chairman of the Croquet Association he is still involved in the CA Laws and International Committees.

Outside of croquet he plays golf and enjoys his garden, cooking and wine, not necessarily in that order.
