Jonathan Kirby

Jonathan was a semi-finalist in the last World Champs and part of the GB team that comprehensively won the 2006 MacRobertson Shield. He was taught the game by New Zealand's Aaron Westerby whilst at Cambridge University in 1999. A single man, Jonathan works as a research mathematician and currently splits his time between the University of Oxford and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Jonathan enjoys playing the violin, and has played in a number of orchestras. He regrets that Oxfordshire and Illinois are both too flat for him to do much hillwalking.
