The exponent of some of the most legendary jump shots in Golf Croquet, John is a previous winner of the Italian and Belgian Opens, was runner-up in a thrilling British Open final in 2000, and put up a brave fight in the quarter-finals of the European Championships last September. Away from croquet he is a keen athlete, once representing his county at 800 metres. He enjoys the theatre, doing crosswords, travelling, and listening to Roger Whittaker music.
