Derek is a retired engineer, married to Jaqui who is also a keen Golf Croquet player. They have two sons and nine grandchildren. Derek, only started playing croquet in 1994 and won his first national championship in 1997. He was selected for the English team in the world championship in 1998 and has played in all the championships since then. He is a regular at all the major Golf Croquet events in the UK and has won quite a number of events over the last few years.
