Mind you, he will be perfectly placed to record them as he works for the Shinozuka Research Institute that carries out research on disaster prevention, seismic risk management and stochastic assets management. Married with two daughters, he has been playing croquet for 20 years and won the Japan Open Championship in 1990,1996,1998,1999,2001,2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007.

His hobbies are travelling and gardening.
