Rhys Thomas, author, writer, director and croquet player, has worked in television production for more than 20 years. He has written and directed more than 100 hours of documentary films which have aired on various American networks including Fox, A&E,
The History Channel, Discovery, NBC and ABC. He has recently been nominated for an Emmy award for writing and producing an episode for the Biography Channel about President Dwight Eisenhower.
In addition to writing and producing for television, he was a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times and is the author of the non-fiction book The Ruby Slippers of Oz. As a championship croquet player, he has been a member of the US National Team
six times and served as coach and manager for the USA in the 1996 MacRobertson Shield. In 2003 he was the Tournament Referee for the Mac. He is also the Director of Croquet at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. Outside croquet, he is an
avid skier, poker player and beach bum. He and his wife, Michelle, reside in Sherman Oaks, California.
